Fieldwork
One day fieldwork was planned in Viareggio and Vecchiano – Massacciuccoli lake area.
In order to perform coastal flooding risk assessment in Viareggio and modelling Serchio river flood we have planned and executed a GPS survey which allowed us to improve LiDAR DTM and improve spatial information of river channels, dike, etc.
During this survey different groups collected all the information about building and infrastructure for vulnerability assessment then we verified land cover map obtained by remote sensing processing
